The Entourage Edge eReader Dual Book was made by a small company in McLean, Virginia called the Entourage Systems Incorporated. It was known to be the world’s first dual book and the device runs on Android platform, version 1.6 “Donut.” The Entourage Edge eReader is a dual touch screen device with one screen as a touch sensitive e-link display while the other is a full color 10.1 inch LCD touch screen. Both screens interact with each other in various ways. The Entourage Edge eReader has a SD card slot for transferring owned e-books or music to the device. A camera located above the LCD screen and full sized USB ports where external flash drives, an external keyboard and other compatible devices maybe used and this includes a stylus pen to write and interact with both screens. The two-halves can be folded or closed like a paper book and can also turn outwards so the screens are back-to-back. The device cost around almost $500.

The product Entourage Edge eReader is not a good choice to purchase because of the announcement made by the company that the Entourage Edge eReader store has closed as of May 21, 2011 and by May 27, 2011, the Entourage Edge Store will cease operations. Further, the users are who are looking for Android apps where referred to the Amazon Android apps Store. The Entourage Edge home page posting said that “the registration server that controls the registration will remain online for the foreseeable future”. It seems that the Entourage Edge eReader did not succeed in getting its market share needed to be a success in the current business line.
