Introduction: A New Fujitsu Tablet PC: Expanding their product line
It was recently announced that the major electronics manufacture/Japanese notebook brand, Fujitsu, launched its new 10.1″ Windows 7-based tablet. This Fujitsu Tablet PC is called the LifeBook TH40/D. It will be shipping to the United States, Japan and Europe. Fujitsu also announced that they are preparing an Android-based 7-inch Fujitsu Tablet PC. Fujitsu will announce later in Q3 of 2011.
There are only a few details released about this Fujistu Tablet PC powered by Android. However it is expected to be priced between $350 – $700. We are quite sure that the tablet will be based on Android Honeycomb. It may also have very similar specs to the current Honeycomb-based tablets currently on the market. Fujitsu also mentioned that the manufacturing of this tablet pc would be outsourced to Taiwan. It is interesting that Fujitsu is releasing a lower-end or a cheaper model. Most of its other offerings have been more expensive. Models like the Lifebook TH700 and Lifebook T900 can be much more expensive.
Fujitsu also announced a new 12-inch LifeBook P-series notebooks for the Japanese markets. They also plan to introduce stylus support and a 3.5G model to the 10.1-inch LifeBook Fujitsu Tablet PC.
We have always admired Fujitsu Tablet PC’s so a product coming out on the market. So seeing products that are more price-friendly really should make many consumers out there very happy.
It should be interesting what Fujitsu’s competitors plan on doing in the future as well. Like Fujitsu, Toshiba, Samsung, and others will not just stand idly by.
